I spent the morning scanning some of my cards. I've done this many times, and never experienced the following error with uploading the scans into Flickr. I got a message saying that the files are invalid and need to be removed. Inside each box it says, "This doesn't look like a valid photo." I haven't changed any settings on my scanner, so I'm not sure what to do. I tried taking a screenshot and loading it into Flickr, and got the same message. Ended up taking a picture of my computer screen with my phone and uploading that into Flickr, (it worked), so I don''t think this is a Flickr issue. I have an Epson V550 scanner.

To say that I'm frustrated would be an understatement! Anybody have any ideas?

Found this in the Flickr Help Forum, so I guess this isn't something new. Of course my scanner is connected to my desktop computer. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Cool, things should be better now. We had a circular problem that started with a Filer storage and in turn backed up our servers. We cleared up the processes that were hung up and all things were well.

This only effected manual uploads on the desktop, auto uploads through the app and flickr Pro apps were not effected.

Problem has been resolved. From looking online there were apparently a lot of people experiencing this. Glad to see Flickr got it fixed quickly. Mods you can close this thread. Thanks.

So was it a Flickr issue this time around? I'm just wondering, if you experience this again, to maybe 'Export' the photo on your desktop and change the file type if Flickr isn't recognizing the file type you normally use? Might be a quick workaround.

Anyways, I'm sure if it happens again it will be fixed on Flickr's end in no time. Nice to see it was fixed quickly!
