Verified Trader,
2 months ago i had trouble with ebay user bostonsox45 about a a presell box i bought and they never delivered, (got my money back through paypal) then saw this other box of 04 Yankee classics product that looked nice the user had over 6000 positives at the time so i tought that it would be okay
then last week the day after the prodcut went live i get this email from the seller:
To all Yankee Classics auction winners: I am having significant trouble with all of my ebay dealings right now because of being taken for close to $40,000 from HODG63 & Bostonsox45 both who are no longer on ebay. I have many people wanting merchandise they purchased from me that I had made arrangements with this two dealers to provide. I intend to make right on all my sales but now have to raise funds to do so. My paypal account is on limited status so I cannot make refunds through it right now. I have to coordinate this all with a lawyer who will collect you requests and then we will come up with a plan in a couple of weeks to how we are going to take care of everyone. Please contanct him and not me for this. His name is Howard White and he can be reached at 715-831-9565 or [email protected]. I am truly sorry for this problemm and am working hard to correct this as soon as possible. Greg
so i decided to contact his lawyer heres the reply
To customers of Greg Brown,
Probably the most efficient way for me to communicate with most of you is
via e-mail. I am trying to make sure I reach everyone with an e-mail
address that I have a copy of so if you are listed twice I apologize. I
wanted to err on the side of over-inclusion rather than omitting anyone. I
am receiving approximately 40 e-mails daily and over 20 phone calls. I have
spoken to some of you, but to return all of the phone calls would be to
ignore the rest of my practice. I am sending this e-mail in the hopes that
it will give you some update.
As I stated in previous contact I have instructed Mr. Brown to go out and
attempt to obtain financing to repay each and every one of you. When
possible he is also attempting to obtain replacement product for shipment.
I will be meeting with him this Thur. to discuss his progress. We will also
be looking at a list of all people who are owed money or product as well as
his prospects for recovery from his suppliers. I want to stress, however,
that your payment is not being conditioned upon his recovery. I believe
Greg will need to hire an atty in Texas to pursue his supplier in court even
if that happens to be bankruptcy court. I have practiced in the bankruptcy
field for almost 23 years and believe that a debt such as his may be found
by the court to be one that cannot be discharged. This is one of the
reasons I have suggested to Greg that bkcy may not be a good alternative for
him.
Again, I will be meeting with Greg in 2 days. I will send an update to
you following that meeting. At the present time I cannot answer who will
get paid first, will product be available, how long wil this process take,
etc. All I can tell you is that I will do my best to keep you informed and
encourage Mr. Brown to continue his quest to make good on these sales with
product or refunds. Thank you for your patience.
Very truly yours,
Howard White
it looks as tough the seller got ripped off and is really trying to fullfill his commitment , hopefully i can recover the money or get some replacement product, but i am never buying a pre sell again and you guys be aware of those too
