New To PayPal - Got A Few Questions

Hey everyone,

I just set up a PayPal account but im not sure if I did it right. Can someone expand on the questions below please?

1) Whats the best way to send money if you are buying? I've heard of "Gifting" or something?

2) I set up my account as a Premier (Buying and Selling) should I set it up as a Personal?

1). PayPal gift is basically me giving you money, you do save on the fees but nothing is covered, I won't recommended it since both parties are not covered

on other sites when people demand gift I sometimes send goods but tack on the 60 cents or whatever the fee is to save a big argument and still cover my a$$

I am somewhat of a paypal noob as well and I have a Premier account as well and I usually send as goods and still don't get charged with fees. Is this normal?

The Person sending as Goods don't get charge fees but the person receiving will.

Makes sense, but I don't think I have ever been charged fees. Is that a feature of the Premium account?

also for the gift option, there are fees if you are going from canada to a us seller and you get the option to pay the fees or have the seller pay them but they are less than a regular goods sale.

Paypal only charges fees if you RECEIVE money. However, there are loopholes to this ie. sending as gift, or payment owed or living expense. This waive fees but also waives any buyer protection. So basically if you send someone money as a gift or living expense and the other person doesn't send the goods, then you're out of luck. PP will do NOTHING.
