Hello everyone! Got a pretty interesting S&T to post this time. A couple of neat non-hockey card pickups, plus some of my best PC pickups so far this year. I guarantee that at least a few of these bad boys will reappear on my year-end S&T. Pretty pleased with these additions. So without further ado, pls enjoy the show! Comments always welcome!

So these next two pickups are special in their own right. Not hockey cards, which is rare for me, since hockey cards are my main collection.

Labatt NHL Original Six Bottles

These were a special addition to my overall general collection of collectibles. The long of the short is that they were given to me by the pure and simple generosity of a great HI member - cardboardkid, Paul. Very cool and generous guy. Thanks again Paul! Loving these bottles! For those of you who don't know him, he's the Dave Schultz master collector on HI. He's got an ongoing thread in the S&T section showcasing his amazing Schultz pickups/collection.

Taylor Hall Signed Puck with Upper Deck COA

This was another really cool addition to my collectibles. Got it before he won the Hart. Part of my prize for the HI contest not too long ago. Another big thanks to Greg, aka g-force who set this contest up. Couldn't be happier with this piece of memorabilia.

And now onto the hockey card pickups. Virtually all are PC, so not available.

Sharp looking card, and had to add a nice Dubinyk to my collection. Another great looking card from this year's SPA. A HI deal.

Had to add one of these to my collection. Very nice looking card. May very well end up on my year-end top ten S&T. A HI deal.

Added a couple more to my Karlsson YG hoard. One was from eBay, and the other from HI. I really like the PSA 9.

Just a cool random pickup that interested me. Neat little trio GU piece.
A HI deal.

Compliments of the eBay 15% off sale not too long ago. Had to add a nice Ovi rookie to the collection. Got it the night before he won the Cup. Possible year-end top ten pickup.

Might be my favorite Gillies rookie year card. Sweet patch and auto, and great SPA design once again. Year-end top ten? A HI pickup.

One of my favorite cards period! The YG's acetates are among the nicest in the hobby. Such an amazing looking card in-hand. Certain to be a top ten pickup at year's end.

Got this for a very good deal on eBay. Put in an offer on it and voila, I got it. The Bronze from this set are very, very hard to find. Only a hundred made of each player. Haven't had anything Brian Leetch for a very long time, so this is a cool addition. Also cool Leetch is in a Rangers uniform.

Needed to add another nice Laine BGS 9.5 to the collection, so I couldn't pass up his Canvas YG, in a BGS 9.5 slab. Great deal from eBay.

Very pleased with this random HI pickup. IMO, 2003/04 was a great "design-year" for SPA FW auto patches. Great to add a sweet Horton to the PC. I'll always remember how much of a beast he was for Boston in the playoffs the year they won the Cup.

Well that's all folks! Hope you enjoyed the show!

Collin

I agree, those SPA FWA's from 03-04 were amazing!

Congrats on all of these pickups. A few monsters in there of course with the McDavid and Laine, plus the Flames stuff, and nice adds to your Karlsson YG hoard. :)

a few goodies there.
Thanks! Goodies are always good!

Those are some great cards!
Thanks, I appreciate the compliment!

sweet looking additions especially the "glass" hardware
Yeah the Acetates are superb looking cards!

Thanks Aaron! Yes, there's a bit of everything in there. These were accumulated over the past month or so. I am very pleased with these pickups. Nice to add such a big chunk to the PC all at once.

Awesome stuff there! Love the oddities of the beer bottles...especially the wings one lol. That Horton is a beauty too!
Thanks! I had a feeling the beer bottles would get some props. And yes, the Horton is a beauty. Always liked the guy, but never really collected him. But sometimes in this hobby you see a particular or random card pop up and you love the card - you just know you have to snag it. :D

Great pick ups Collin. I love the bottles.
Thanks Terry! Glad you love the beer bottles too. Very neat items. They will look good displayed when I figure out where I will put them.

Very nice additions. Have plans to display the bottles?
Thanks man! Good question. And yes, I do. Just not sure where and how. But these are definitely not destined to stay hidden.

Some very nice looking pickups! one looks awfully familiar :P
Thanks Chris! Funny how you say that. Must be a mere coincidence. Haha. Joking of course.

Awesome stuff Collin. I'd hold onto the Gillies stuff for sure, as I don't think he'll be a flame much longer. He will become a stud.

Thanks Sal! I agree he will become a stud. Have a funny feeling he will be moved at some point too, then blossom elsewhere. I plan to collect him whether he is with the Flames or not. I am a fan - definitely keeping the cards. :D

Nice pickups, I have 2 sets of the beer bottles That are full and unopened myself. Love them
Wow, that's amazing! I've heard they are hard to find in good condition - especially the team logos on the bottles. Easy for them to get scratched or rubbed off. Very neat items.
