NHL Reverse Retro Jerseys

Not sure if any of you have been tracking these but I really think Adidas did a tremendous job with these.

Some of the best IMO are the Coyotes, Rangers, Avs, Canes, Caps, Kings, Hawks, Flames.

Some of the worst? Jets, Preds, Sharks, and, sadly, the Red Wings are definitely holding up the bottom right now. Drab and FUGLY.

Undecided? Anaheim with Wild Wing. This might be the most talked about jersey at extreme opposite ends of the spectrum where you love or hate it.

I really like Buffalo, The Kings and the Wild, while I dislike the Blues, Canucks and Jets...but at least they are trying something new. It sort of reminds me when the Seattle Mariners tried to make jerseys for the future a couple years ago.

Will definitely be grabbing a Caps jersey! Been waiting for the Caps to bring back the Screaming Eagle. I just wonder what the nameplate will look like. In 1997 the Caps had 2 different styles of nameplates.

Like that the Rangers are using the Lady Liberty logo, but I think the jersey needs some more color to it. The stripes seem way too small.

Like the Kings but the placement of the numbers look like they will be right in the elbow bend. Hard to tell with the model.

I wonder how hockey fans in the teams previous markets fell about the Avs and Canes?

The silver on white of the Stars seems to hide the crest.

The Wings jersey looks like a practice jersey.

Wow! I love Winnipeg, Quebec & Minnesota. New Jersey and Buffalo also awesome. Carolina and LA are decent. The rest: meh.

It's great to see the Nordiques logo return. The color nod to the North Stars by the Wild was a nice touch. The Ducks and Flames logos were hideous in the 90s and nothing has changed! As a local for the old Whalers, the gray jerseys just do not look right.

The Red Wings design is just a boring practice jersey. Looks like they want their jerseys to match their playing style...

My favorites are the Whalers, Nordiques, Devils, Kings and Habs. Anaheim jersey is the worst!

Some of them aren’t that great especially the Maple Leafs. The huge logo ruined it IMO.

I agree. When I saw the Wings jersey, I thought it was a practice jersey. Mixing it up with the old school 'D' logos and some more red, and it would be easily one of the top Reverse Retro jerseys in the division, I think.

Best: Avalanche, Canes, Kings, Wild, Caps, Flames, Sabres, Coyotes
Worst: Wings, Leafs, Stars

Underrated/Next Best: Panthers, Devils, Canadiens

League of their own total swing and miss: Islanders

Biggest discussion piece: Ducks

I think if the Ducks hadn't incorporated the Mighty Ducks logo into a few jerseys recently, you would've seen them go with that. But they've used it already and saw their chance to go with (as mentioned by Barrie) one of the biggest discussion piece jerseys ever made, right up there with the "Burger King" Kings jersey.

The Islanders in my opinion missed a huge opportunity to do something with the "Fisherman" logo/design.

I love the Nordiques remix, and already ordered one for the stash of Avs jerseys. I wish the Sabres would've went Goat Head on as the main logo with the "B" sword shoulder logo, but the "butterknives" is still a really sharp design IMO. Love seeing the Black/Red era remixed into the royal blue.

I had exactly the same thought today. Empty arenas is slow business, the league was probably looking for a new source of income.

The Leafs almost had a great jersey but ruined it with the over sized crest they put on it. Maybe it looks so bad because they showed off the overseas Indonesian made crap version and the real Made in Canada version the players wear will look a little bit better but we'll see.

Love that they went to the 70-80's two tone design and stayed true to the font that was used during that time but the crest just kills it. I'm on the fence until I see how they look on the players but will pick one up when realsports sells off some gamers.
