With the $$ being thrown at players in the last couple years , I thought this would make for some fun banter.
Which 3 current nhl salaries do you find most valuable and the 3 least or overpaid.

Best value for me
Patrice Bergeron
Taylor Hall
Nathan MacKinnon

All would be 10 million + if UFA this year maybe not Bergeron cause of age but seems to be getting more productive as years pass

Worst value
Bobby Ryan
David Backes
Erik Karlsson

Karlsson only cause of the injuries and seems like theirs turmoil all around him

Be curious to see what others think.

If you’re talking actual salary for 2019/20, not their cap hit, my opinion is:

WORST:
Carey Price $15 million
Jacob Trouba $12 million
Mac Pacioretty $10.5 million

BEST:
Alex Debrincat $800k (I know, not fair cuz it’s ELC)
Roman Josi $4 million
Morgan Reilly $5 million
Nathan MacKinnon $6.75 million

Looking at new signings - Tyler Myers at 6 mil per season is pretty bad. Brad Marchand is making just a bit more than that in Boston, and Myers was at best the 3rd best defenseman on the Jets last year.

That isn't a fair comparison at all, Marchand signed his deal three years ago after scoring 60 points. If he were a free agent this month he'd get $10+ as a free agent.

Loui Erikson's been healthy scratched for most of the season so far.
Jon Toews looks done. Alzner's got at least another year in the AHL before Montreal will buy him out.

On another note props to Kevin Shattenkirk - nice turnaround for him so far!
