Sad I couldn't make it to the Expo this year. Consolation is that I just received this in the mail:

2011 - 2012 The Cup Trophy Cuts: Pearson / Gretzky / Orr

That's a reeeeeediculous card, but I'm not sure why it got a 9.5...the autos are all off center, no?

That is a beauty Stephen, Congrats! Good to see you still picking up some amazing pieces.

Thanks Terry. I lurk around once in a while to see what's going on. Shiny things always got the better of me (I think it'll continue)!

Stephen's back!

Hey Kevin! I never really retired, but after getting my 05/06 Cup #1 want. I've slowed way down. Not much holds a candle to that except for neat cards like this one. Hope you're well.

Beckett does not include the overall rating of the AU in the grading of the card's condition. It is a separate grade in and of itself.

The cutoff AU bugged me on some cards (i.e. 05-06 Rookie Inspiration Crosby #/199 and #/23). But for #/5 or below print run cards, I don't care. Can't really find a 10 AU and BGS 9.5 Trophy Cut of any card!

STUNNING!!! Is this a 1/1?

Beckett says so on it's label. I still think it is a #/3 (UD's website) and have worked out compensation if it is NOT a #1/1. However, I have not seen another copy of this card.

Nice card, Stephen! :whatthehell:

Congrats!!!

Thanks Curt!

That's a really nice piece Stephen, REALLY nice. :whatthehell:

It's funny, I'm not really a fan of booklet or cut cards, but those two elements combine here seamlessly and from the highest of all high end products, The Cup! Enjoy your latest monster addition.

Thanks Barrie! It's my first booklet card (never held one still without the slabbing).

What made me commit to the card was the BGS 9.5 Slabbing (almost want to hang this on the wall; quite neat with slabbed booklet), the unique cut of Pearson with "The Prime Minister of Canada", the significance of three together.
