No Expo in Texas so I just had to wait for the US Postal Service to deliver a card that I knew I wanted obtain as soon as I saw it as I thought it would go great with some cards I have received from Upper Deck over a great many years dating back to 2006. Delivery would be my personal expo!
In 2006 Chris Carlin contacted me with the news that I was being selected to be in their Diamond Club. I was in the club for five years and over that time I received the cards below and then an employee card that I was sent a long ago. Pretty cool getting an employee card since I never worked for the company. Over the years I have supported UD and then I have had my down's with them as well but over all it has been a ride! Roller Coaster ride! Way more good than bad.
1st Employee card I received from them:
Cards from my Diamond Club years, kind of a long story of why it was only five years but that is for another time.
As a member each December you received a special autograph card from UD as a gift
and a personally signed card from McWilliams

So fast forward to this year I read that Upper Deck was once again presenting a card as a gift to their employees. I wondered if any would show up on eBay and sure enough there were many. If I worked for the company I could never have sold my employee card unless something bad had happened and I needed the cash, so grateful some UD employee like cash. Watched a lot of auctions and wait to make a bid.
Bingo won!
This was the card that was delivered for my "TEXAS EXPO!"
My hockey collecting goals in 2024 were to obtain a Bedard Young Guns and then a hard signed auto of him!
Goals completed!!!
