It's been a few months since i've sold my HOF rookie collection and while i don't have any regrets the "vintage collecting" bug is still very much there.
So i started thinking - what do i want to collect? For sure it would have to be graded and PSA. I love the look of PSA graded. Player collecting? hummm I'm already doing that with my 80s Gretzky pc. Build a set? ok, but what year? So i started looking at every year from 1950 to 1990. Sets after 1970 grew exponentially so that was a no-go. I wanted something realistically achievable so under 100 cards. I finally settled on the 1959 Parkhurst - design is clean, small set (50 cards) and contains the Richard bros, along with other HOFs. I can see myself doing the Topps of the same year after i finish the parkies.
