Only reason I said its the "official" one is because I do not know of any others. I had many PM's about my post last week in organizing this, so here it goes. I have determined the rules and entry Fees. If at 10 people do not sign, then it isn't worth doing. Here we go
Entry Fee: One Auto or TRUE RC with a BV OVER 50, no game used. Some people may wish to give more, some may not be in a position to do so. Now if you have some lower end jersey and such you want to add to the BV 50 card as extras, then so be it and I am sure everyone will greatly appreciate it. I know I have a few extras I will contribute.
The Rules: You pick 20 players, any 20 of your chosing in these folling categories.
You must have:
12 Forwards
5 Defensemen
1 RC... they must have NEVER played an NHL game before and can be either a forward, Defensemen, or goalie, your choice
2 Goalies
Points will be broken down as follows:
1 point for a goal
1 point for an assist
1 BONUS point for a game winning goal
For Goalies
2 points for a win
2 BONUS points for a shutout
You will be allowed to make TWO trades throughout the season, so use them wisely. These will have to be used by the NHL trading deadline FEB 26 Noon EST or they will become void. When trading for a player, you pick up ALL of their season total in points, but of course lose the points of the player you traded away. If you trade away a goalie, you must pick up another goalie and so on. This is applicable for the 4 categories.
The Prize distribution will depend on how many players enter, but I would like to get 1st,2nd,3rd,4th. This has been finalized and winners will pay for the shipping method of their choice.
The Deadline to enter is before the start of the first regular season game on Wednesday, excluding the one in London. All Entry fees must be received by me no later than 2 weeks after the start of the first game or you will be booted out, no exceptions.
Lastly, I will enter this into an online site so it is done automatically and we can all check it at our convenience. This costs approx $30 depending on which site I choose, so I will email all participants after the registration has ended and let them know what their share will be. They could also just send a couple of bucks along with their card(s) if they choose to do so.
Any questions or comments are greatly appreciated. Please post here if you want to join so I can get an idea for numbers. PM me your team when it is ready to go.
Edit- After talking to several people I have decided to add in this catch to make things very interesting and some serious strategy. Each player that you pick must belong to a different team. You CAN NOT have 2 players on your team that play on the same NHL team. The only possible way this is allowed is if they are traded during the season.For Example... if you have Crosby on your team and decide during the season you want to trade say Iginla for example, you can pick-up Malkin and have 2 Penguins. This is only allowed during trades though, not for you initial picks. If uncertain, please PM me.

As I just looked at this thread.... many of the updates that were done to this thread after OCT 14th are gone due to the site crash. Everyones trades and such were recorded on this page but now gone. Luckily Officepools.com did not crash so we are good to go
