So I was going for the Jalen Rose, Mitch Richmond, and Shareef Abdur-Rahim On Locations cards on ebay, they just ended at 11:14-11:30, I was outbid with 2 seconds left with the Richmond and LOST IT, and then I won the Jalen Rose, and was outbid with 2 second witht he Rahim, so I'm pretty pissed, I hate those people with sniper programs!

That really stinks. At least you were spared with one and no suprises came up on that one.

sigman- Actually i was high bidder with a max bid of like 35 at 5 seconds left and it was at 15 and it jumped to 29.99 with 2 seconds left, maybe a few more seconds and I would of been out of that one too, here's a completed auction viewing just to show you guys how much these cards fetch:

These cards are hot because of their beautiful designs. Thats why I place my bid with usually 20 seconds left. Someone on beckett has the Richmond though...I want the Richmond as he's on eof my favorite players and has a nice sig.

Yeah it is a very nice set design duke, and that's exactly why im trying to complete it......but somehow i dont see me getting that stackhouse

Because first that's just going to a low that I won't go to, and second of all I don't even know where to get it if I even wanted to, which i don't..

personally I don't think it's wrong. It's legal. It's just part of the "game"... like intentional fouls in basketball. I'm not saying I "like" it. Sure, I hate being out-bid as much as the next guy- but I don't consider it "low". What I find worse is people misrepresenting the item they are selling... like everyone nowdays putting 1/1 in the title. now THAT irks me!

so you'd be more mad at people putting in 1/1 in a title, than get outbid with two seconds left on a card you've been looking for, for like 4 months?

that's not what I said. I'm saying I think those people are morally lower. If the card is not a true 1/1, they shouldn't list it as one.

it all depends on your interpretation of a 1/1, some people think a jsy numbered card is a 1/1, others think printing plates are 1/1s, and others just want the plain ole 1/1 only one made(i believe PP are 1/1s because last time I checked Black and Cyan are different colors) and as for the sniping thing, just get a fast connection and do manual snipes i do it while pretending to study for class :)

There's a simple solution for this whole thing: bid higher. If you're that desparate to find a card, you're obviously willing to pay a nice sum for it so just bid high enough so they're not able to outbid you.

As far as the 1/1 thing: the "NO AUTO" titles bother me more than the "1/1" ones.

I agree with wouter 100%

Also you cant get mad because you got outbid, its an auction. The one thing I would suggest is you keep auctions that you bid on lower key. Everyone knows you are trying to complete the set, as I see it all you are doing is creating a bit of a buzz and drawing more interest in these cards which creates bidding competition.
Heck I really like the Richmond and am going to try to pick one up now, heard Duke say the same thing.

yeah, the "no auto" ones are worse!
