... The Russian Rocket, Pavel Bure, played his first game for the Vancouver Canucks, a 3–3 tie against the Winnipeg Jets.
So it seems appropriate that I share with you, my latest Pavel Bure PC additions.

First up, I received a package from Bruce (meatmancgy), that contained the following cards (+1 that I will show later in this thread).

Now, some very cool, Canucks Team Issue Bure stuff, this was all sent (very generously), by Kevin (kmitchel), thank you once again Kevin, really appreciate your generosity.

Ok, so Bruce sent along a surprise card (I knew that the base were coming), opened this last week with Lola (my little girl), well I was like a kid at Christmas when this popped out of the mailer......

Words can't express how grateful I am to have this card in my collection, it is easily a cornerstone of my Pavel Bure Collection. Thank you so much Bruce :beer:

Man, 20 years already??? Anyone else remember jumping after pulling a Bure Young Guns? I miss the early 90s. BAD.

Great haul, dude...nice to see some old pics in there.

Very cool pick ups...and very cool of Bruce. That must have been a lot of chocolate that you supplied to him to get that tag though! haha.

I remember how excited the fans were surrounding Bures arrival to the NHL. I was in university at the time and working in a hockey card shop part time. The buzz surrounding his UD rookie card and especially the french version was crazy. We couldn`t keep them in the store. Collecting was really fun back then, it seemed like everyone was collecting and there was card talk, hobby shops and card shows everywhere.

Like Scott said, the Bure RCs were huge back then and the french hype was crazy.

Nice additions and great on Bruce for Tagging ya! :beer:
 
Thanks for all the comments guys, adding anything to my Bure collection is an awesome feeling, whether it's a base card, autograph, McFarlane, Team Issued Item or 1/1, the thrill is just the same.

As for the Bure RC, I love that card (why else would I have nearly 30 of them).
