I am very happy to add this to my collection of Gamers. Backlund was a bit of a slower starter in the NHL and many thought he may be a fringe NHL at best taken later in the first round of 2007.
If you are one of those people who don't watch the Flames games (lately, I don't blame you). You may look at Backlund's point totals and think "bust". However, you couldn't be further from the truth.
Backlund is one of the most consistent players night and night out for the Flames. He drives the play, while taking much of the defensive draws. Him and Frolik are a match made in heaven.
While the "point" totals may not be there, you would be hard pressed to find a better 3rd line Centre in the entire league. Strong PK'er too!

Thanks Jeremy, it looks awesome! This jersey is from the 2015-16 season during the February.27/16 Game vs. the Ottawa Senators. Backlund assisted on the first goal of the game.
The retro's are PURDY. Glad they went back to them full time this year!
