Well, no big long extravagent mail post, just a sweet one I've been waiting for for a little while now.
Lucky it arrived safely, camein a bubble mailer with no tape or team bag over the top :eek:
It's a new toploader though :rolleyes:

I also wentto mandarin for lunch and ate way too much, but I did get a "Lucky Red Envelope" which "According to Chinese tradition, this red envelope is a symbol of luck. Look inside and you'll find a replica of an ancient Chinese coin! Wishing you health, wealth and luck for the New Year!"

EDIT: I should add...don't waste your money on a lottery ticket...you actually have a better chance of getting hit by lightning then winning the lottery...haha. (This can be proven too, but it involves a lot of math and I don't feel like it now...:p )

Also, what do you think about the Delgado signing? Are the Marlins any good? I remember they used to **** a few seasons back.

yeah, it's not bad for 7 bucks delivered, about 1/3 of what the first one went for :eek:

World champs 2 years back.
Beat the dirty yankees.
They are good,
have a couple franchise players (cabrera and pierre) and now add in delgado and they're sittin real pretty.
A left handed power bat to sit in the middle of that lineup makes them a lot stronger,
They have solid pitching with beckett and others.
They'll have to contend with the Mets, and Phillies
Philly brought in arms,
lots of em,
Lidle, Adams (terry, blue jays then red sox, then world champion? and he ****s!) lieber, wagner and telemanco. So they will be better.

I see the Braves crashing and burning this year.
They've not only stood still they've gone backwards, and I can't see their lacklusture additions helping them in a division that has loaded up this offseason in the likelyhood to make runs. The mets and the Marlins, I think the marlins, if things go right will win that division and be a contendor in the playoffs, pitching likely their weakness. But they're still pretty good on that front.
Nothing a trade or two down the line wouldn't solve.
But, everyone wants pitching once the season starts.

picked up a pack of UD1 anda cash for life ticket.
cash for life was better, I "won" the4$ back.
the UD1 pack I got a gonchar worlds best, and basecards, notably, a comrie and abouchard, but, got them both already.
Got a bertuzzi, I could always burn it :D

The coin is neat,
it's weird when I flip it tho, it almostalways comes down on the characters, andthen flip it to dragon down characters up.
oddly enough after I noticed the next flip did the opposite. but so far it's x:1 heh.
weighting must be off.

Yeah, I forgot they won the World Series in 03! I'd like to see Delgado do good...I dunno about you/other Jays fans though. I seem to remember a lot of Delgado bashing going on in the summer. I'm glad to see him gone, because the Jays were wasting too much on him, but I'm still a fan. :) I actually just got a letter ready to send to him once Spring Training starts...I figure it's probably the best time to *try* and get an auto or two.

If the braves don't do well I won't mind...not at all...although DaveLefebvre here might! haha (He's a Braves fan, obviously.)

Uhh...don't do it Phil! :eek: Think, if you saved up the money you paid on the lottery each month/whatever you could by yourself lots of nice new McFarlanes, or Comries or anything! Haha, I'll stop now, really, I promise. :rolleyes:

I'd really like some Baseball McFarlanes, personally, I like the Baseball ones more than Hockey ones, mainly because there are so many different poses possible with Baseball, like diving, sliding, catching, throwing, jumping, hitting, pitching, running, ect. Too bad not many people cary them around here...other than at shows.

There are indeed 2 Sportspicks with the newest Jays logo.
There is a Delgado that is already out, be pretty hard to find in many parts, been out awhile, might be able to nab one at a show or something the like. There is also a halladay coming out that will feature the new logo, I'm hoping the chase is the old logo in a homage to his Cy young years, but I doubt it, TMP has put no effort into any blue jay sp to date, with the exception of fixing the hat on the halladay, which they initially fudged badly, and I called them on it.:eek: the thought of me effecting change, scary.

I have no idea about getting autos from delgado.
Everybody always said he was so nice for signing autos, came out all the time and signed, well, over the last 2 years I was probably at 43 games and I don't have his autograph, nor did I see him signing any, so, for what it's worth I guess. Did get a lot of others, inc. halladay and rios and lilly, and more, take a pic of that autoball later. be easier to catalogue it digitally. Maybe do that tomorrow morning when I'm up @ 5 am :confused:

Thanks Dave...sorry bout the braves, I love watchin em on TBS, but, I just can't see them being all that good next year. But hey, that's what everyone said last year, right? so take solice in that ;)

Good luck on the lotto...... although i dont know how much that will help, some kid that i used to hang around with won it twice, 2.4 million the first and 2.3 or 2.6 the second time.

BTW- Braves and Jays are both horrible, just because their baseball teams, i hate baseball.

SInce you guys have been nice and replied to my mail post.
I'm going to show a picture I just took down @ the lake.
Took a bunch, but I have to continue driving miss daisy's in a couple minutes and have just had a chance to resize this one.
It is friggen cold here today, so the lake is steaming, but, it's way too dangerous to get close to get a good picture of that from the "beach" I was at.
So I have this one from the "shore"

The pebbles in the foreground are where the lake usually starts, the steam in the back ground/middle of the frame is where the lake now starts ;)

Cool...I'll have to try and get one of those...they'd look great, IMO. Hopefully I'll be able to find one at a show...for a good price. I'd really like to get a Halladay. :)

He's probably got worse as he got older...hmm...I dunno, that's what happens to most players, I'm sure Delgado wouldn't be an exception. I'd love to see pics of your Baseball autos. (How do you stay up to 5 am though...haha...if I stay up that late I just sleep all of the next day. :o

Cool lake pics too...that's neat how it's steaming. I was at a frozen lake once...really neat, 'cause the waves basicly freeze and you can walk on them 20/30 feet into the water.

it was cool/dangerous, ice everywhere.
Took a shot of one of the rocks I decided against going out on.
solid sheet of ice on it from the waves crashing and then freezing.
Was d@mn cool.
 
You got next to no snow..... if i remember later or if this post stays up near the top to remind me, I will toss down a scan of my backyard later.... its about 3 1/2. Nice pic none the less though Phil. I wouldnt mind seeing some others.
