Went to a card show at a mall near my house this weekend. One of the wax dealers who I have a long history with had just cracked open a fresh case of 2009 Exquisite and offered me first pick. After some hesitation, I decided to take the plunge.
Before I show what I pulled, after I cracked mine the dealer decided to crack the other two. His first one was HORRIBLE, with the "highlights" being a Brian Robiskie RPA with a one color brown patch, a Beanie Wells triple patch with three 1-color red patches and a Drew Brees Inscriptions auto #/5 (nice card, but ouch tin)
The other tin had a Sanchez RPA 99/99. :| :badmood: :rtfm:
So after seeing the highs and lows of that case, here is what I pulled:
Base - Kyle Orton 11/80 (double stamped, had half of "12/80" printed on it) GONE
Auto Rookie #/99 - Mike Teel GONE
Bonus Pack - Lawrence Taylor Auto-Biography REDEMPTION :banned:
Rookie Big Patch Dual - Bomar/McGee 46/50
Bomar Side
McGee Side
And now, the Gold portion of the break:
Rare Materials - Brian Robiskie GOLD dual patch/dual tag 6/10
Endorsements Auto - Kenny Britt GOLD 13/15
And now, the Silver portion. For once, Silver is MUCH better than Gold...
Rookie Signature Patch/Auto - Kenny Britt SILVER with RIDICULOUS patch 24/99 :giggity: :Confused:
That's one of the best patches I've EVER seen in a card. The photo doesn't come close to doing the card justice!! :dance:
So I ended up breaking the middle of the road tin in an excellent case. If you've made it this far, thanks for the read, all cards are FS/FT and, as always, comments are welcome! :beer:
