Opinion Needed

As most know, I'm doing the entire run of Jeff Carter memorbilia cards from 04/05 Heroes. The last auto/jersey that was on Ebay ended early, but another very reliable source found one for me-

thing is the guy is firm on 250 CDN as the price tag. Most of my money is being saved up toward a down payment on a vehicle, but 2 of the Carters have changed hands so far (1 for 178 dollars US, the other for an unknown amount) Should I take it or Leave it?

Edit: Forgot to mention the Auto/Jersey's print run is 5 copies.

John, its tuff to say..... Carter has been putting up HUGE amounts of points since he returned from the World Juniors..... It is a print run of 5 which means that if you already saw 2 go, there's not many left. I would say that if the money is there you should take it, although it is kinda pricey.

Your savin' up for a down payment on a vehicle, but at the same time you need a certain "key" card for your H&P collection,

It's a tough call, you mentioned that two have already switched hands a few times, which technically means there are only 3 out there somewhere. Now If you said a reliable source has tracked one down for you (5 - 2 = 3) (3 - 1 = 2) That leaves only two other copies of that card floating around. If it weren't for the down payment on the car, I'd take the card in a herat-beat. Becasue the odd's of finding the other 2 will be very slim. Just my two-cents worth.

Depends how badly you want the card. If you are willing to potentially wait a long time to get another one, then pass. But if you can't wait several months, you'll be regretting not getting it

I think the price is... steep, but right. 178 US is probably comparable to 250 CDN, though I'm not exactly sure on it.

If I were in your position, I'd say throw a couple of nice cards on ebay and go with it.

See, I couldn't do a deal like that for myself, don't have the assets - just saying that it's my opinion that I'd go for it if I could.
