I have a 54/55 Topps #8 Gordie Howe it is totally round corners and it has tape marks, but it isn't badly creased. Anyway, I wanted to great it slabbed for protection if nothing else. My question is this, should I send it to BGS and get it slabbed as Authentic or actually get a grade? Will they grade a .5? :)

I believe that they grade it a number if they believe that there hasn't been any tampering to the card (i.e. trimming, restoring, etc.) or there is a chunk of card missing. I agree that PSA is probably a better bet for potential resale, however, I don't believe there will be a material difference due to the condition. Also, it is always in your best interest to get a 1 over an A. Good Luck!

Does Beckett put vintage cards in different slabs than newer cards? Cause I sure wouldn't want one of those white label slabs.

Is SGC still grading cards?

As far as I know all vintage cards sent to Beckett gets graded in a BVG case (beckett vintage grading). The case is slightly different and not as thick.

Here are 2 I have

Gretzky (vintage cases)

Ovy (modern cases)
