I bought 7 cards seller charged $3.50 for shipping, plus $1 per card. A little much $9;50 for 7 cards, but I wanted them. I get the cards today and it's 7 cards crammed into two dirty used toploaders and not even a bubble envelope. There was only a $1.34 stamp on it. The seller refused to refund any of the shipping charges. Is there anything I can do besides hammer him on the star ratings for shipping costs?

My best,

Ken

He made about $7 profit off shipping. That may be grounds for a claim for excessive shipping charges? I know I can mail 4 top loaded cards anywhere inside Canada in a 00 bubble mailer for the same $1.34 stamp, which with tax ends up being $1.51, and if you add in .50 cents for a bubble mailer, $2 is about his cost. Having said that, if he had sent all 7 of the cards in top loaders in a bubble mailer, it would have been close to what he charged you. He skipped the top loaders to save on weight, and the lesser cost. If someone makes a bit off me on shipping, I usually shrug it off if it`s a buck, or less, but $7 extra is quite a bit excessive, IMO? Definitely hammer him on the ratings, and it`s up to you whether, or not he deserves a neutral, but definitely I would be telling everyone about it in my comments, even if you give him a positive. Something like " Was Charged $9.50 Shipping For A $2 Service" or something along those lines.

AH man, I don't like that at all. I don't mind if people charge me a little bit extra as long as the items come protected and you can see where the shipping charge actuall went (For example, if they use bubble envelope, cardboard around the end loaders,, end loaders for each card, stuff like that....

.. I have never made a fuss about shipping costs before but that's likely because I didn't know if I could do anything either....

If you end up doing anything and it works,,, just let me know.

Hope you can resolve...if not let us know the seller we should avoid.(or let us know anyway since he is not making it easy to get the money back....I think he should at least give 5.00-6.00 back....or really 7.00 since if I pay 9.00 the seller should at least be making a trip to have a PVI sticker put on the envelope(if not using paypal to pay for the shipping

I'd consider a neutral on that!! Now that is a rip off. I got a package the other day and was charged $7 from within my own state. I was kind of bothered by that but the package showed up and he used stamps to mail the bubble mailer which came out to more than $5 worth of postage he put on it with DC and not to mention all the cards were in screwdowns so it was very heavy. But $7 for a PWE is a joke!! When I charge someone here on HI only $2 to mail to Canada, that's because it's going in a PWE lol

Whoa, I missed that it wasn't even sent in a bubble mailer for that much. That makes it worse, IMO. Not only did they severely overcharge you, they didn't even mail it properly protected. Yes, you got it safely, but that really isn't the point. Please let us know who this seller is so we can avoid them?
