Panini No Longer Accepting Expired Redemptions.

Coincidentally, the Brashear v Panini lawsuit re: Unredeemed Redemption cards just celebrated its first birthday last week of being in the court system

The court has not ruled yet on Panini's request to dismiss the case. Brashear v Panini

Would be nice if they actually answered requests to get ones replaced that have been placed 6+ years ago.... What a joke....

panini sucks.. what a joke.

I disagree, Panini did some of the best hockey products of the decade while Upper Deck is now on cruise control. Its no surprise that Upper Deck's latest product is a direct copy of Panini Contenders:

My thoughts exactly. Panini wasn't the greatest, but they pushed UD to be better, and that's what counted. Unfortunately, with Panini now gone, it has just been worse and worse ever since.

Panini had some solid products. Anyone licensed would give UD a good push, which in turn would benefit all of us. UD makes great cards when they HAVE to. ;)

I liked panini. Everyone has an opinion but I love a lot of there products and the pics of the players they used, it was different. I agree that they pushed UD but with no competition why would they......'GO OUTSIDE THE BOX". Our best always comes from being pushed

Add me to the list of people that like Panini. I collect Gibson rookie stuff and he has a ton of 13-14 rookie-year cards, and out of my whole PC its the Panini cards that I like the most.

Yes, the amount of parallels are kind of crazy, but the cards had such nice clean designs and such deep colour.

People realize that Panini has no contractual obligations to honor any expired redemptions. The fact that they were still doing so six years after they stopped making hockey cards is pretty impressive imo. UD certainly isn't doing anything like that, and they're the ones we are stuck with.

I do agree that redemptions generally suck. The problem is with that process and not Panini though.
