Patch detectives, I need your help!!

Today I received the following card (upgrade) .

I'm having difficulties to determine the origin of the patch .

At first, I thought it's part of an NHL-Shield. Then I assumed that it might be from the Tampa All Star-patch worn by Tampa Bay players in the 2000-01 season, but I cannot seem to figure this one out.

P.S. I have also included a scan of the back of the card. According to this, the piece of patch is supposed to be taken from a home Tampa Bay jersey. That makes sense, because my downgrade has got an unmistakenable piece of a Tampa Bay jersey. However, in this set there is also the Matthew Barnaby card (he was traded for Primeau), and there are Barnaby copies out there with Tampa Bay patches and Pittsburgh patches

Actually, I believe the Tampa All Star game was 98-99, not 2000-01.

2000-01 was in Denver.

Could be from the TB AS patch, that thing was fairly colorful.....

I don't think so you never have 2 ligns of white around the NHL shield

i do not normally do hockey so i hope this isn't a stupid statement...

as oliber said, there aren't two white lines plus where is the orange part of your patch coming from? it is an odd shape as compared to pics of the shield, like the one oliber posted.

don't know if this made any sense. sorry if it didn't

Olivier - Thanks for the picture of the All-Star logo!!

Due to the white lines in the Primeau patch, I already figured the piece of patch probably is not from an NHL-shield or the All-Star patch...... The white in the patch (somehow... don't ask me how) reminds me of a Penguins jersey??!! Perhaps it's from an entire different jersey, and is not Upper Deck the only card company known to mess up their GU stuff .....

I guess the search still continues! LMK what you're thinking!
