Thought I'd take a few minutes to share this card because you see them so rarely. I found this card - of all places - on reddit. Threw him a fair offer and he accepted.
I picked this up because growing up, one of the earliest products I opened a lot of was 2002-03 Topps/OPC. Here in Prince Edward Island, we had a 'can ban' while I was growing up. Until only about a decade ago our province banned canned pop to support the local bottling industry. We ended up getting rid of this, ironically, just about the time it would have started to make sense from an environmental point of view. Anyway, the result was, as a kid, our ditches in rural PEI were full of pop bottles. I would fill a wagon I had attached to my bike and roam the ditches, returning the bottles to the local convenient store for change. I spent most of that money one year on this product (his only hockey cards). Always dreamed of pulling a Roy reprint autograph so when the opportunity recently presented itself, i grabbed it!
It's not in perfect condition but something I can live with considering the rarity.
Will go nice beside this Roy OPC rookie I recently picked up and will be sending to PSA. Its in beautiful condition.
