Just paid a forum member from PayPal balance (not debit nor credit) and my purchase was $xx.xx + 1% of xx.xx.

This is new to me! Guess I need to read these user agreement updates they send out every two months (or so it seems)! :P

Buyer sending paypal payment as a GIFT is charged 1% and the seller is not charged any fees. It's been the case for as long as I can remember!

Didn't send as a gift. I mean we're talking less than a buck in extra fees but I was still like w.t.f.

penguinfan: not the fees the seller pays. I sent a forum member 60.00; PayPal charged me 60.60 and specifically broke down it was 60.00 plus a 0.60 fee.

the other member will still pay his 3% on the 60.00 as well. just awkward that they're double-dipping on both ends now. :(

Depending on which option you chose to send a NON ebay paypal payment and which it was probably a payment sent to a friend OR relative, then you are charged 1% and the recipient is charged NOTHING!

I know when I send paypal payouts to my guys in my fantasy leagues it seemed like I was charged a fee for the smaller amounts, but not the transfers over $100. I never thought to check, but maybe it was because of CAD to CAD, and CAD to USA, but I assumed it was free over $100, but they take a fee with less amounts like $20, or so?

I just paid as I always do other forum members. No gift or special options. Weird. Oh well. Much ado about $0.60 I suppose. :(
