i have just started using paypal this week (MY OH MY ITS BETTER THEN MONEY ORDERS!!!)

i have a few questions i hope someone can answer

1) when i send money it says i have a limit i can send before i become verified, it says im only allowed to send $750.00 more dollars unless i become verified.

im 17 so i dont have a credit card, i use my bank account (witch is verified)

how can i avoid this? i dont quite understand this

2)i heard from someone that i have to be a VERIFIED member with a CC to be able to receive funds, is this true?

tanks for the help, i hope someone can explain this to me!

I have been verified for a long time so I don't remember alot haha. I have my CC on file with paypal but you can get your address verified via a phone call. You can pick a time or hit call now and they call you within 10 seconds. Until you become verified your account will be restricted. When you hit $o your account will be useless untill you verify it.

BTW if you sell on and get paid via paypal be careful on high $$ items. Buyers have like 30 days to file that they haven't recieved their item (it happens even when items arrive TRUST ME). Any big ticket items you sell either charge for tracking or pay it yourself...trust me lesson learned. I now have manditory tracking on any item that a buyer buys over $50.

easiest way to get verified is like newfie stated... phone call... it takes 1 min and all you have to do is read them your credit card number.. but in your case im guessing you will need to state the bank number you gave them, and all they do is see if it matches and your verified, and can spend as much money as your bank account holds.

about the receiving money thing... im pretty sure that is not true... BUT since you are just starting out, im guessing you have the PERSONAL ACCOUNT?? This account lets you send out for free but you can only RECEIVE NON- Credit card payments like account transfers, echecks, etc (you dont get charged when you receive a payment with a personal account, but it ****s because MOST people pay through credit card)

You should upgrade to the Sellers account (i think thats what its called.. one step above the personal account) This lets you receive EVERY kind of payment through Paypal, but also charges you $.50 + 2.9% of every sum of money that is paid to you

good luck

thanks

Dave
