I tried the same thing with Paypal, and went back and forth for several emails with "support". Bottom line: if you're from Canada, you have to withdraw in Canadian funds, regardless if you have a US bank account. Reason? As stated above... so they can screw us for another 2.5% to 3.0% for being "foreigners".
