I wanted to let everyone know of the phone call I received from David at Panini. He let me know that he personally pulled cards for a replacement package to be sent to me. He wanted to explain that even though I will be getting less cards, the replacement value is there, and he thinks I will definately be happy with the package. They included a little extra because my original email sat in the "junk mail" folder for a while.

I will let everyone know what I got, but I am already happy with the response from Panini. I am a little disappointed that last years Scratching the Surface redemptions are still delayed, but hope the cards I get will fit my collection.

I know how you feel I have been waiting 19 months for a Chris Stewart Scrathchin the Surface auto. I called lastweek and said I can replace it.

My ticket was updated and here is a list of cards I will be receiving for my 23-card lot:

Sean Couturier Rookie Treasures Patch Auto /199
Adam Larsson Rookie Treasures Patch Auto /199
Carl Hagelin Rookie Treasures Patch Auto /199
Adam Henrique Contenders Rookie Auto /800
Carl Hagelin Contenders Rookie Auto /763
Sean Couturier Contenders Rookie Auto /800
Claude Giroux Team Trademarks Auto /49
Zach Parise Team Trademarks Auto /99
John Tavares Team Trademarks Auto /99
Eric Lindros Select Signatures Auto /49
John Tavares Contenders NHL Ink Auto
Sean Couturier Contenders NHL Ink Auto
Derek Stephan Contenders NHL Ink Auto Gold /25
Chris Pronger Contenders NHL Ink Auto Gold /25
Michael Grabner Elite Social Signatures Auto
Mark Messier Limited Retired Numbers Auto /25
Mark Messier Select Signatures Auto /25
Martin Brodeur Crease Cleaners Auto /25

Panini definately made up for the long wait, unread email, and overall disappointment of the Scratching the Surface redemptions. I did make my replacement requests relatively easy, Atlantic Division teams.

I can't wait to get the cards in hand. In 1-2 years you should start seeing a lot of Scratching the Surface cards being used as redemption replacements ;)

I do not know what you had into your redemptions, but looking at this list it looks like you destroyed it.

But once again it raises questions, what about the people who pull these redemption cards, redeem them, only to be told that the card is out of stock because it was sent out as a replacement?

Like I said previously I am happy for you but I feel bad for the next collector.

I am not sure if any of the above are redemption cards. I looked on ebay and didnt see a redemption card of any of them. They seem to be stock that was put aside for these situations.

Well if that is the case and they were to be used when they couldn't provide a service that they already said they would then it is good on Panini.

I know most companies do it, but I do not like the fact that they hold back cards that were intended to be packed out as redemption replacements.
