the epack release's always come down this argument.
Personally I like the fact that I can "trade" any time I want and that there are always people on there that want to trade.
I like that I can take my "hits" and leave the base and not have to worry how I'm going to get rid of them.
It's not for everyone but it's for some.
For me I have one place in town that I know of that sells packs (not counting walmart) and they are expensive to buy off of. The closest card store is a 35 minute drive to another town. They also tend to be a bit pricey.
To each their own. There are good things and bad things about this.
Just enjoy what you enjoy and move on.
