I like the YG and Game Jersey designs. Portraits are wild, but that was their intention (heard that from someone at UD today)...it was either try something wild or scrap them. Might as well try something different and see if people like them.

Portraits look horrible IMO but as mentioned above time to spice it up so kudos for them on trying.

Base set looks super clean and awesome as always. I'm not a huge fan of the YG design, but I rarely am from the mockups and once they've got all the nice foil on them I'm sure they'll look great. Especially in the foil/rainbow foil versions.

It's cool that they add a french parallel. The Game Jerseys are ugly.

I hope that Walmart will have a blackfriday sale on the blasters again. Always fun to pick a couple!

Portraits and GJ designs are trash. The YG, Dazzlers, and Clear Cut Foundations all look great. I actually think the YG are some of the best looking I have seen in years, but each to their own, right?

Regarding the Portraits, this is exactly what I was told: “The new ones are supposed to be Zack Morris's school picture.” So yep, y’all are dead on. LOL

I'm guessing the release date is flexible? Whether they're able to conclude the 2019-20 season or not, clearly the 2020-21 season isn't starting when it normally would. While that's not the biggest deal for an MVP or OPC release, for S1 that would mean a very weak Young Guns checklist. Since that's typically the biggest draw, would they consider releasing it before they could get new rookies in?

As its stands - these are all the players that have played in the past year or so that do not have a RC yet... With a delayed season this would probably be your MVP/OPC/Artifacts/UDS1 rookies...

Few decent names in there as well. Not sure if that includes any back-up goalies who did not play. I think Kevin Lankinen dressed for the Blackhawks but never played, so I guess he could also be one, and I'd think there's at least one other guy who backed up to get to 49 YGs plus a CL.

Ive noticed that back up goalies have stopped getting RCs the past year or two... Maybe the RC rules changed to be in line with positions players where they have to get ice time to get a RC.

True. And I mean really, that is how it SHOULD be. But, maybe UD has just kind of made that their own policy. If so, maybe they could still make YGs of backup-only goalies. Or, worst case, they just shrink the checklist down a bit. Or, maybe include a couple of throwback YGs or something like that to get up to the 49. I say YGs of Hjalmarsson and Dzingel since they never had one! (Please don't actually do that, UD...there's too much retro stuff as it is.)
