I find the design of the base set decent and the mascot inserts are cool for the kids, but I miss the format of the early years of MVP, with long odds hard-signed autos and GU and great looking shiny inserts. There were some great designs for the inserts in the first few years of MVP.

Agreed. The "old" MVP was awesome. I miss it.

I agree 100 %. They .should revisit the old MVP style instead of producing a million parallels. How about an insert set with 25 cards, longer odds of pulling and 0 parallels. Wishful thinking I know but it would be nice.
