Upstanding Member,
So I started a field experience job up at a local rink. During one of the lulls in my work day I started talking to my new boss about his collection of autographed stuff that he had on his wall. Gretzky, Lindros, Yzerman framed jerseys ect. He then tells me that he has some of the better stuff at home and he will bring it in to show me someday.
Well that someday was on Monday.
He was friends with the New York Rangers Assistant trainer (and still is) and it was given to my boss by him.
It has the stamp "W. Gretzky" on the top by the handle with the number 99. It also has a WG-1 marking down by the heel of the stick.
It also has a stamp on the bottom towards the blade that says, "Feb 15 1984"
Under the celophane it says, "Best Wishes, Wayne Gretzky".
He has asked me for help on pricing this, but I do not know a thing about game used sticks and I know that someone out there must (it is not that hard) know more than I do.
It is pretty consistant with other Gretzky sticks I have seen online.
Let me know your thoughts and opinions.
Thank you again,
Shawn
