I thought this might be an interesting topic to get into since we all have our stories but we've never pooled them together.

Have you ever accidentally decreased a serial numbered print run? That is - Something happened with it like it disappeared into the mail system or did something arrive to you so trashed that it's disappeared into the abyss forever?

My story - If you're trying to collect all 50 David Aebischer Limited Logos Cards from 05-06 Cup...I received one in the mail that was bent in half and couldn't be salvaged. I don't even remember what I did with it because the eBay seller was being so difficult that I didn't bother returning it, but it's presumably gone forever. There's only 49 of them to be had now :(

With a stunning piece of "N" from his Vaughn pads but sadly got lost in the jungle of posts during sep-oct 2011 despite tracking numbers but got lost in germany if I remebers correctly...I already have an another card but with the letter of "G" so those should looked stunning together but will never gonna happen...

So there're only 99 remaining!

Plus a fablous double-player expo 1/1 card with 2 multi-colored swatches also got lost during same period which I experienced none less than 5 or 6 lost mails then it was horrible!!

I make a habit of putting Craig McTavish pro cards on my dartboard I think i have killed about 60 over time so what only about 1600000000 left?

Was in a top loader and sleeve and must have fell off the card shelf. Found it in the cat litterbox ..............

Print run on it was said to be either 10 or just under........well its minus 1 now

Oh a Cam Ward fake cup RC patch.

Me and a friend bought it to take it out of circulation and sent it to Upper Deck to dispose of it.

A friend of mine used to cards as voodoo dolls when we were kids. One year, we put a morning glory through Patrick Roy's abdomen. Wouldn't you know it, Roy came down with appendicitis!

Calvin Schiraldi was put through a pencil sharpener after a certain game in 1986...

But back on topic, I opened up a pair of boxes of 2001-02 Private Stock.

Pulled two Eric Lindros jersey cards and was pretty happy. Set them down on the floor to scan after I finish everything up to the Rangers. Next thing you know it, the cat of the house decided that this was the moment of fate, the time to expel the gooiest hairball you can imagine. And where do you think he decided to expel this mass of brown sludge and hair? Surely not on the hardwood floor or on the carpet, no, but right on top of the two Lindros cards, a Bobby Holik card, and a Boris Mironov card. Needless to say, I now have four beautiful jersey swatches without accompanying cards anymore.

The ravages of age have since expired my pukey little friend. There was the time he peed on a bunch of SP Authentic base cards, and the time he scratched up a Robyn Regehr rookie card for no particular reason, but they were certainly no memorabilia cards.
