Just curious as to what people's thoughts are on sales this year for the rc crop. No real hype like Matthews and McDavid created for sales.it seems the last 2 years are still driving the prices high, cmon $40 plus for Charlie McAvoy YG, I'm a Bruins fan and find that absurd. I hope the hobby lore comes back to reality.
Curious to see what other think. Just for example UD excl young guns were off the charts for even scrubs last year. Some sold for more than the Toews YG exc I sold back when 07-08 Ud2 came out sold for 225$ for those who care.

Supply and demand. The last 2 years have brought in a bunch of new collectors to hockey so you're seeing a spike in rookie pricing. I'd say it's a good thing for the hobby. I know many collectors want to buy their cards for peanuts but if that's the case, we'll start losing many sellers/wax breakers.

This is why I'm so against ePack. People are spending money on Series 1 Young Guns and are going to see those prices fall dramatically once it hits ePack. Once they see the disappointment of having spent $10 on a RC only to see it drop to $3...well, I'd be pissed.

If Expo was any indicator, it seemed like the place was a bit more full than usual. That definitely is a good thing.
