First my Topps Now Astros team set + auto came in. My auto was a Gurriel /49. Not great but not bad but in the end, any player would have been a p.c. card so oh well.

So because I was late in collecting Whitley, I decided I would randomly collect a new player from scratch. It had to be someone from the Astros and someone cheap. I guess the risk in collecting a lower end prospect is odds of him making it to the MLB is slim. Plus the Astros didn't have a high end propect in 2017 Chrome.

New p.c. is 2nd round pick, pitcher Corbin Martin.

Incoming Gold Wave
Bummed since I would have won the Red /5 for a decent price but the auction had a reserve and it didn't reach the asking price. I have a feeling any other red comes out, it'll be for a stupid price unless it goes to auction.

I know baseball isn't popular here but for those who looked, thanks for looking.

Iceman - yeah might pick up some lower end J. B. Bukauskas for sure. For mid range, depending on the price, probably try to get them. The orange, red and 1/1's will probably be out of my price range.

Spilly - How is you're collection coming along? Did you collect him before or after he was traded? How are his prices? Is he a top ranked prospect?

Excellent collection...sucks about Forrest Whitley. Sounds like it was an innocent move on his part. Hopefully the 50 games gets overturned.

Yeah it does suck about Whitley. Man my curse continues lol. I wonder what he took. 1 rumor was atteral which isn't too bad but apparently a radio station was speculating on something else. Can't remember the name but it was something bad. Anyhow thanks for commenting. Your Vlad collection is unreal. Is it for p.c. or flipping to make money?

I read that Whitley’s buddy gave him a pep pill to keep him awake for a long drive home. Innocent enough, but it contained a banned substance.

The Vlad collection is for myself. I’m hoping he pans out...it’ll be something I leave my kids so they can HOPEFULLY sell it for some decent money down the line.

Here's hoping he does pan out for you(and your kids). Would be cool if he becomes the next Ichiro/Pujols/Trout, etc and say look at these big money cards I own. But at the same time, it's going to suck for your wallet.
For me, Whitley could become expensive but for Martin, he'll either not make the MLB or just be a number 3/4/5 starter or relief pitcher which would mean, cheap cards or no cards at all.
