Hi fellows!

I was horrified about PSA and Beckett grading fees. Did I understand right , you have to pay 100d for grading one card plus shipping cost? I refuse to believe this being real. Is it true. Got some baseball and hockey cards needed to be graded. I could not pay that much for just grading. Prices sure have escaled sky high. 100d for fee cheapest option. Noway I pay that much money. I´m quite a new with PSA/BGS system.
Any help info needed. I`m from Finland.

It slowly coming back down after being raised to deter people for submitting while they worked on their backlog. I’m hearing the return of bulk subs in February.

I personally don't have a big problem with the pricing. I am against getting tonnes of stuff graded. In my opinion only higher end stuff should be graded or condition sensitive stuff. If you can't tell by the naked eye what grade it should get who really cares. I have a crosby and ovy yg psa 10, and in my opinion they are perfect but I have seen some that are graded 10 that there are visible imperfections (mostly centering issues), which questions the credibility of the grading process, but I digress.
My question is, why are you getting the cards graded? If it's to protect from the elements, use a cheaper grading company. If it's to increase value then use psa or beckett. If the card is worth the same as what it would cost to buy it un-graded, maybe you shouldn't be grading it to begin with. I personally hope they don't go any cheaper then 100 for grading, because it makes it to easy to grade and then we end up with backlogs of 6months to a year. Sorry if I ranted, I just need to get it off my chest.

For me, grading makes it easier to sell online but because of the costs it pushes what I sell online to be $150 + so really only star cards and rare inserts. For bulk or less valuable cards, don't sell on eBay and risk stupid returns in my opinion, I would just send to COMC if they are $2-$3 cards and up. Dollar cards, you can sell them on eBay as bulk lots of at card shows/facebook marketplace or set builders on Beckett Marketplace.

Wait them out , half the cards in the backlog are now not worth 50$ in a PSA 10. Regular for members just got back to 50$ per. Beeing INTL you will still have to pay 75$ + in shipping back to you.
