Yes I copied this idea from

Seems like a cool one.

Ill start it off:

hmmm, not much, the most ive ever spent on a single was $80 on the Posey/Swift Dual Patch #/10......ummm

I guess ill have to go with my box buys. I seem to have the worst box buys ever, I mean you'd think after a while id be bound to hit something nice....well your wrong. I spent $150 per week for 3 weeks straight at a card shop near me, his stuff was WAY overpriced, but it was better than waiting for something to come in from ebay :). Needless to say, I get about every possible common gu you can imagine, and if theres a guaranteed auto, I get a redemption for a common, or no auto at all lol. My parallels are always of the players who would make better fast food restaurant employees than bball players. So since that hell of a week, I stopped going there and switched to ebay/internet. Bought a box of bowman R&S when it went live, got a david harrison rc gu BV $8 and jason kidd gu BV $10, no gold refractor, only a regular refractor #/300 of chris bosh. Best RC was either a shaun livingston gold or dwight howard regular. Yep thats it, no auto in the box. So I sent in the box top via Certified mail like they insist, $5 just for that! I get the autograph in the mail, lo and behold....DAVID HARRISON!, so yeah thats about a good example of my lifetime ability to pull the cards nobody wants.

Lets hear your stories :)

1989-90 Hoops David Robinson Rookie! Alot of cash and several cards back in the day for a card that now books for $10.

I feel sorry for all the morons that were paying 250.00 + for Mcgwire rc's in 1998.

What idiots. I had arguements with friends about who could hit 60 HR's twords the end of the 97 season , Once Mac was traded to the Cards I said he could do it... they all said Griffey Jr., and I stood by Mac the whole time.. they thought I was nuts and I told them I'd give them 10 EA. for there 85 USA rc's. I must have bought 35-40 of them anywhere from 8-13 dollars.
Man.. I made a killing in the next 6 months.

biggest regret.. buying any of that all sport PPF from scoreboard in 1996. what a joke. I still have redemptions for vintage cards that I'm sol for.

as far as Basketball, It's not buying.. it's selling.. My Kobe Finest RC for 90.00 before beckett came out only to see it list for 450.00
