Hi

today i drop by to the local store to pick up some bubble mailers, and notice they have a box of Donruss Preferred, the Dual-players tin for 25 bucks ..... so i say what the heck, and bought it

and my best card was a Gold Brodeur base and a Silver die cut of Sundin

rest of them are pretty junk

and most of the cards in the pack are pretty banged up due to the packaging, except for the middle card

here are my questions: is that a good price ? and are the odds different b/w the single tin and the dual tin

Tom

Tom,

25 is about the going rate for Preferred boxes. I dont know about the odds difference though. None the less its a cheap fun break.

I wish I could get it for 25 a box here. I've only ever seen it for $5-7 a pack :(

I guess the guys that are selling it here for that are probably picking it up for $25

Glad my buddy picked up the cases that blowoucards had for sale at like $25 or 30 a tin.
He is ALMOST complete the master set. Great set to go after but costing him ALOT of money.
Nice pull though

$25 for a box? 24 packs?
If so, that a SMOKIN price!

Tom....FYI.......the guy across from me at the Expo...Grizzly....he had a bunch of these....they were his best seller....had them real cheap.....he told me he'll have more in May.

hhahah thanks for the reply

the guy i bought it from still have 5 boxes left i think, so i might try another one

I got a box from D&A for about that much just before Christmas. A lot of them were damaged, but so were the tins I opened up when the product was brand new. That's what happens when they cram the plastic packs into the white plastic inserts in the tins.

That stinks. Thanks for sharing the condition info tho, I'll likely stay away until it hits $10, since 97-98 was a lousy year ;)

It is common for the cards to have dinged corners as I have seen lots of posts complaining of the very same thing. Beautiful cards though.
