I cant give you an educated answer because i've got no clue, but im rather paranoid when it comes to that. Even a regular auto on the top of a stack, i always turn in over so the auto is safe :D

If it's out of the sun and away from fluorescent lights you should be okay. Anybody building cases/frames should be using UV resistant glass.

If you don't have UV glass i'm pretty sure that you can pick up UV film to place over the glass. Your cards will eventually fade, unless you have them in a dark closet you are running the risk of them fading.

I build frames for my stuff to display in the office & here are my tips. My Frames

Don't hang a display where it will recieve direct sunlight

Don't shine a spotlight on your display & if you do only turn it on during special occasions.

My frames don't have a glass front so what I do is either
1. Spray paint the front of the holders with a clear UV blocking Spray Paint - or
2. Buy UV blocking film and apply it to the front of the card holders.

If you use a glass fronted display make sure it's a UV blocking glass, if your unsure follow either step above for protection. I have about 20 sets in frames & don't have room for themm all so I change them up from time to time which helps. I've had card auto's in filing cabinets to fade that never saw the light of day, so with some it's enevitable. Another advantage I have is I'm old so it'll be someone else's problem some day.

Yeah like Darren said, I believe those to be safe if you're hanging it where the room's powered by regular lighting. If those are the frames I think they are, nothing's holding your card but a piece of flimsy plastic, which I'd say is far from UV Protecting.

The other thing to keep in mind with that frame? Put a lip or something around the bottom edge if you intend to display cards horizontally. I've got the Canucks team set of Franchises autos in one of those frames, and have never displayed it on a wall yet because the autos will slide off the frame (I haven't attached a lip or taped the cards in place or anything)

The other thing is...you can only display base card size cards in there with those snap tite things the frames come with. They won't fit jerseys or anything larger than the standard 35 pt :)

Just making sure I throw it all out there so you don't buy a bunch and find they aren't to your needs.

Light + Ink = Faded Ink, sooner or later.

I wouldn't think of framing anything that was not replaceable, unless you have museum quality glass. Even then....

Thanks for the help guys, I had some autos in there and after reading some of your posts I am going to take them out. I'd rather play it safe. Thanks again
