Just wondering what the feeling are from some of you experts in the game used collectibles. As many of you know here on HI that I collect Scottie Upshall.Well for the 201920 campaign he had a tryout with the Dallas Stars. According to the latest roaster lineup he did not make the cut.But I know that he played some of the preseason games. Would you consider that an actual game used jersey since it was not in a regular season game. Or it is considered a game used since he wore it in an actual game, all be it only pre-season.Just looking for some input before I try and track one down. Thanks, Winston.

The little I know... meigray tags them as “preseason “ and “game worn” usually for regular season.. I .. as you a PC collector..if you could get a preseason worn jersey of Upshall, which would be... awesome.. I’d value it as much as any other game worn jersey.. cheers! Paul!!! Meigray game issued jerseys are labeled as such... I do know that..

That would most certainly be considered a game worn jersey, though broken down further as a pre-season only sweater. For a player collector, that would be a huge piece. The Dallas Stars sell their own memorabilia through their website so you should probably send them a message to see if they still have it before they recycle the sweater into another players' (as is very common with training camp and pre-season sweaters), or they sell it to someone else.

Thank you for the information. I will call them on Monday. I see they have no other way to contact them other than by phone. Thanks, Winston.

I would follow this thinking as well. Definitely game-used even though it was used in a pre-season game. Would make for an outstanding piece!
