I know there is some "big" Ebay sellers here... I have a few questions

- Ebay had the obligation a few years ago to give to the canadian revenue agency sales reports of the biggest sellers. Does anybody here had a letter from the canadian revenue agency?

- What are the conditions for Ebay/CRA to be a "big" seller? I found on the web that the US IRS condition are Powerseller selling for 20k$ & more. Is canadian rules the same?

- Flipping cards for collecting is really consider as benefits?

Thanks for the help!

Rule of thumb. IF you are a power seller, you will be reported to CRA.
And to be quite honest, if you are pulling large volumes in sales regardless of PS status, you will be flagged. The best thing to do is report your income and play by the rules. That's how I operate.

Card flipping is no different than selling anything else. They treat it the same. Telling them you are a hobbyist first won't work unfortunately.

Do you have a business number?

How do you declare your income... Business declaration or you add you expenses & revenue as a self-employed person in you declaration?

LMK if this is beginning to be too personnal ;)

A wee bit to personal, let's take this to the PM and discuss there if you wish.
