Hey guys,

I recently bought a ITG Ultimate card, unfortunately the card came with a crack on the front of the BGS slab, i contacted BGS and they said it will cost $5.00 for the new slab, and $20.00 shipping to Canada. in US funds. So thats approx 35 bucks Canadian to get a new slab on the card.

I was just wondering if there are any cheaper ways to go about this, or if i have to bite the bullet on this? i know likely there are no other ways to go about this, but i thought id ask anyways. i know i could always just crack the slab and put the card in a top loader and call it a day, but im one of those guys that it would bother me every time i saw the card that it isnt how it came out of pack haha, im sure some of you can relate.

any advice appreciated.

Perhaps you can find an HI member in Canada that is planning on a BGS submission and would be willing to include your card in their shipment.

Yes, that or if you ever get to Expo just submit it there. I've given them a damaged slab along with other submissions in order to basically eliminate the shipping.

They charge $20 shipping to the US as well, I just sent in a few cards to be graded and it felt like highway robbery on top of what they already charge for grading
