Something is up with the patch in this auction:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/11-12-Cup-C...rading_Cards&hash=item43b38e5df3#ht_234wt_959

My reasons for thinking this is strange:

1. The black/dark blue (stipe on the left side between the white jersey and the white stitching) never existed on a Blues jersey when Joseph played there.
2. The yellow was heat pressed onto the Blues jerseys when Joseph played there, not stitched as it is in this card
3. There is no sequence of Dark Blue/stitched white/stitched yellow/blue on Blues jerseys from Cujo’s playing days there.

You can see on some of the other Cujo limited Logos cards that the colours are correct and you can see the heat transfer material on many of the cards. Take this auction for example:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/11-12-Upper...ue&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557#ht_2577wt_722

The card in the auction above shows the heat transfer material for the yellow and red portions of the patch.

I think the card in question is either a fake patch (I don’t like accusing someone of this though) or an error from UD since the piece looks like it is from a more recent Blues jersey.

Thoughts?

Cheers

Probably a UD error.

Fakers usually don't bust and re-patch right at release IMO. I think they wait, buy white patches for cheap as they become available, then they repeatch and sell

It's impossible to verify, which is why I don't pay much attention to swatches anymore. I've seen companies put on a sticker auto upside down...it's not too crazy to accidentally put on a wrong player/same team swatch.

Discussed more with the owner and he's a member of SCF. He's a good guy.
I don't know what is that jersey piece, but I know that it hasn't been replaced.
Card is 100% legit.

Thats good to know about the seller. I saw his other items that were listed and thought everything looked good, from the beginning I was thinking UD error. Sad that these mistakes happen in such a high end product.
