Leaf is its own company, has been around for a long time, most of their releases are not league licensed. But that auto does not look right. Be interested to know when the auto is from, maybe it was early on in his career and he had a different signature at the time.

Both of those are actually fairly consistent with early Gretz sigs.

The thing is the becket label doesn't say anything about the auto, and even if it did I think they only comment on the quality of an auto, not its authenticity

Regardless unless he signed that when he was 10, it is fake

for anyone who has seen a in person Gretzky auto they can be VERY inconsistent and weird, nothing like youd see on a UD card...

the first one is definitely from his early years.

VERY typical as he's scribbling like mad trying to satisfy everyone and get on the team bus at the same time.

Someone might want to change the title of this thread, as the first Gretzky was most likely signed in the early 1980s and is completely consistent with autos we have had certified as good for him.

Second one is not as strong, but still consistent with his "I don't have time for this" autograph.

You'd like to see the company producing this try to find some better autographs, but cost is a factor.
