Quick out indefinitely

The Kings have about a 2-3 year window left tops to try and win another Cup and then the rebuild is ON, full-bore.

This season is now officially in the ****ter. Haha

Tough news for LA fans. I’m really hoping Budaj gets a shot soon. He was great for them last year and hopefully he could do it again

Too bad for Quick, but I really like that Jack Campbell has finally made the most of his work and in my opinion doing a fairly decent job so far for LA

As a fan of a team that tried to deny that their time as a playoff team/contender was over, it seems pretty clear to me that the Kings run is over, they should try and get a jump start on the rebuild and start shipping people out this season. The longer they wait the worse it's going to be.

Sincerely,

A Canucks fan.

And now jack campbell is out 4 to 6 weeks injured knee, LA can't seem to catch a break with the goalies

I'll respectfully disagree. Even as the league stands now while it appears to be a no go on paper, you never know.

Look what Pittsburgh did between 2009 and 2016, 7 years between Cups, retooling their team with a youth influx with the key pieces in place. (Center, Top d-man, Goalie, Crosby, Letang, Fleury/Murray respectively)

Like I said, if LA can get something done in the next 2 years, it's not too late with the core up the middle from goalie out, Quick (health pending), Doughty, Kopitar.

Sure, it's a long shot, but even a Kings team this bad, is a lot better team than the vaunted Oilers with McJesus. And they've been there before and know how to win it all.

And sorry about Jarret Stoll and Dustin Brown. ;)

The team should have been thinking long-term rebuild back in June, instead they signed Ilya Kovalchuk's ghost to a big salary.
