Wow I was so close to acquiring a similar card years ago. I cant say this auction was shilled but that's much higher than I'd imagine. His stock has risen after winning the cup so many it's legit
 
I won and paid for this card. You are all confirming what I already know. Also bought the Crosby. Not sure why these cards are not trading for much high compared to their #/299 RC?

Pat - I had no idea my Ovy Cup ARP #/99 BGS 9.5 3clr transacted for what it did. It was the PWCC one a few months ago that sold for more than my Crosby Cup ARP #/99 BGS 9 1-clr. Auction was very deep with bids. Doubled my expectations and PWCC did a great job with their video of the card.

congratulations!!!:beer: great Looking Card. watched auction but was no bidder at all...first thought was there were fake bidders to rise the Price...

Thanks. I still think this auction stinks as others have mentioned. I think you may well be right with getting shilled, but no one put a gun to my head to bid this price.

glad you were able to get them for your PC,...and sometimes you have to overpay if you really want it. Card Looks fantastic, and my Version is Pretty boring compared to yours, but i am still happy having one copy.

Thanks! I sold one of the "best patch" version of this card years ago. Was never convinced that the patch was real, but could never find evidence that the card was tampered with either. I saw one about on par with this card and passed on it due to how skeptical I am about "amazing" patches. Sadly, the primary reason I like #1/1's and shields lately.



I always loved the clean design of 05-06 Ultimate. I am sure your Ovy is far better than my 1-clr Crosby patch. :beer:

PS - it's a real shame the #1/1 Ultimate Rookie Auto Shield of Ovy was in such horrific condition.

Yes its a Real shame That Upper Deck did not replace them..i think Card is still in hands of Anthony (cupcollector). My Version is an idea of a 2 clr. Swatch but mostly solid Black , so no worries at all about a Fake Patch 😅 your Collection is just outstanding, wow
