Well had my best mail day in almost a year, pics of that at the end. I am guessing not many people know who Rejean Beauchemin is. He spent the last 3 years with Prince Albert Raiders in the WHL and played on the 2005 gold winning world junior team (Canada) and is a local goalie from Winnipeg. I also know his family so that helped me in deciding to collect his stuff (much like my Turco collection).
I will start with my Beauchemin cards and go from there.
In this scan is two of his four team issued cards. One of them is signed. I am looking to get an unsigned version of that one as well as the other Raider card I am missing and the Phantoms card he has.
In this scan is two Beauchemin base cards from this years H&P Series 2 and his auto card. I really like his signature, very nice and clean.
Here is the first of his game used cards. I am trying to get all the different color variations on this card. I have a black and white gold jersey incoming.
In this scan is the gold and silver In the Numbers cards of his. Both cards are 3 colors but I am always looking for more of these.
The emblem cards he had in H&P Series 2, I really like all 3 emblems. Very colorful. The one card with the blue swatch has to be replaced though, the card is starting to seperate unfortunately.
Lastly in the way of cards is a bunch of multi game used cards of his. I need the gold parallel for all of these. On the Measuring Up card, I have missed out on 3 of them all going over 70$. The dual net prospects gold I missed out on last week at 50$ and the Nameplates 1/1 gold card I missed the auction as it didn't show up in my searches, it sold for 105$.
Now for the really nice stuff....
I got this stick last year when my dad took me to P-A to see the Wheat Kings play the Raiders in game 6 of their playoff series. After the game he gave me his stick when we went to meet him. The cool thing about this stick was when he gave it to me and signed it for me we were getting video taped by CBC Radio Canada (the french CBC) as they were doing a documentary on the WHL playoffs that year. A couple nights later I was on their national news at 10 with him talking to me and signing the stick for me. Thought that was pretty cool.
This was my first game worn jersey of Beauchemin’s. It started my whole game worn jersey collection (which is sitting at 4 as of today). This jersey was worn during the 03-04 WHL season.
I also have a picture from the Manitoba Moose website that has me sitting behind Beauchemin with this jersey on.
This was my second game worn jersey. Like the first one it came from the Raiders team store. It was worn during the 04-05 WHL season. It has a lot of puck marks on it and is really nice.
Lastly, the reason for me posting this all today is this showed up today from New Jersey. My latest game worn Beauchemin jersey, and quite possibly my favourite. I ordered it last Thursday and it showed up today. Great customer service on Meigray’s part. Definitely buying more from them.
