Long-time boardies here may recall that I had a unique mission I accomplished a few years back - to get every variant of the 05-06 Heroes and Prospects Maxime Ouellet card.
The secret to the story was that I took the photo that was used on several cards.
I ended up taking pics for several ITG cards following that one, but as they say, you always remember your first.
Since that time, I whittled my collection down immensely, but I will still pick up the Ouellets when I see them on ComC or if a unique card pops up on eBay.
Recent years have seen a few of the cards re-emerge thanks to the Vault release. I received my third Vault in the mail yesterday so I figured now was as good a time as any to show them all off. (Sorry for the links rather than pics, for some reason this board system doesn't like Google Photos...

I'll go so far as to say I'll never get the full slate of Vault variations. I've never seen any of the other cards (Making the Bigs, Net Prospects and the accursed Measuring Up set dualed with Patrick Roy) pop up, but I'm sure they're out there.
Meanwhile, I've hoarded as many of the other cards as possible. The large GUJ swatches are by far my favorites since they very often come in 3-color swatches, let alone that they have the funky rope design on them.

The big thrill for me though was sending Maxime a couple copies of his card and the original photo. He signed a couple copies for me as well.
