I'll be the first to admit I wasn't an Ultimate Warrior fan as a kid, and it was only because of the Wrestlemania VI rift. I was a Hulkamaniac...not a little Warrior. I was devastated when my mom bought me Ultimate Warrior Sweats for my 8th birthday (even though I wore them...and they were ugly as sin
Later in life, I was angry at the fact that he no showed contracted dates, including an autograph session I went to when I was 12. Needless to say, my experiences with him, and opinion of him hasn't all been positive.
But...I respect anybody that took the time to put pro wrestling on the map and dedicated his life to entertaining the fans, and I'm happy he got his chance to say goodbye to fans on the stage that made him a superstar and make his peace with Vince and co. Seeing the look on his face in front of the WWE Universe one last time was absolutely priceless. That's how I'll remember him from now on - A man who had the chance to, and finally made peace with the skeletons that hung in his closet for years before it was too late.
RIP Warrior
