Now I realize that no trades can occur during this time.. My question is around call up and send downs to the Minors (AHL) . Now this is not one of those send the great players to the AHL because those guys need the rest.. What I wonder is sending down guys that do not have to clear waivers.. FOr example Tim Kennedy for Buffalo.. Has not logged a ton of time lately and could use good minutes on a first line.. He would not have to clear is that a possibility?? Are players like P.K. Subban stuck up in the NHL not playing for a couple weeks.. Now there are a lot worse places to be stuck I know. Any Idea and who do u think are canidates if that is possible.

Bill,

I believe the Canucks were sending down Nolan Baumgartner for the two weeks and then bringing him back up.

Not sure, how the rules work as I haven't looked into it but I'm guessing that you could send the kids down.

I saw that Mark Parrish made it through. This trade freeze could be a blessing for cap heavy teams. Now they won't have to worry about waiving a player and worrying about other team picking them up for almost nothing.
