The Ryder Cup starts this week. The US got there ars handed to them last time around. Could this time be any different. The US team has alot of first time Ryder Cup participants. Should be good to watch.

Which course is it on?

The K Club. It is in Ireland. Not the traditonal golf course that are in Ireland. This course is more Americanized not the traditional links course that is found in Ireland. Starts this Friday.

Is this Ryder Cup every two years? I forget but I think I recall it is. I don't follow golf a whole lot other then espn and hounding but wondered is there a easy link to find the golfers who will participate? jason

The forecast does not look to good. They said that it is supposed to rain on and off for the next ten days.

International leads the US 5 points to 3 after the first day. The US team only won on match and halfed four others. Tiger and Jim Furyk won the only match for the US against Monty and Harrington.

The player to watch is Sergio Garcia. His record in Ryder Cup compition is 12-3-2 or something like that. Hope the US can bounce back and have a good day tomorrow.

USA got smoked again...it almost tradition now to lose to Europe...A intersting thing I picked up from the broadcasters was that they were talking about how loose the players for the Europe team are, as in they hang out togther--not only during the Ryder cup but also during tournaments. In Europe I guess there are not a lot of hotels around where the courses are so a lot of guys end up drinking in the bars together. Team chemistry can play a little role in helping to win but still have to perform on the course.

The USA squad got crushed by the Europeans again. This was not even close as many Ryder Cups usually are, Europeans have been beating the US pretty often in recent years. I picked up on something that was interesting that the broadcasters were saying that in Europe the golfers hang out a lot more during the tournements as there are less hotels then in the US around the golf courses. So the players generally know each other a lot better--I guess team chemistry helps a little but you still have to perform on the course.

Sorry if this shows up a double post but I posted this earlier and was not showing up however in the forum the reply is there...this it not making any sense to me brain.
