Hey guys, I made the trip down to the Expo today. To start the day off, I busted a box of 10/11 SPA at the Upper Deck booth. I then proceeded to lose all of my base cards and inserts that I accidentally left at one of the booths. :| Here's how I did in my box of SPA. I'd say I did pretty well overall:
And no, I did not luck out and get the Pietrangelo as my redemption card for my PC. Chris (vegaspuck) did however, and traded it for my Caron Priority Signings that I got as my redemption. Once again, thanks Chris for helping me out with my PC.
I also purchased another PC addition from Brad and Geoff from CloutsnChara, my first ever Alexander Ovechkin Auto!
As my day winded down I forgot that Panini had a redemption program going on so I decided to take part in it and open 4 packs of their new product, Pinnacle. I really liked the base cards and I think I killed it for four packs:
In their redemption program, they gave you a 2 card pack that contains a couple of Rookies from Donruss with some rookies being SP and SSP cards. Randomly inserted in the packs were limited-edition autographs of the Rookies. The guy at the Panini booth was nice enough to give me 2 Redemption packs. If you were wondering where the boomsauce was in this thread, well here it is:
BAM! I also attended the Upper Deck product information meeting and received info about their upcoming products. I can say that The Cup is scheduled for late June and there are some really awesome new sets that they are including. Champs will also be back next year and they are creating a product with all retired players.
