All harsh comments aside I don't really like this move.

1 - Stern said to Seattle if they build a new Arena they will be in LINE to get a new franchise. I'm not sure but I believe a few cities in California want more teams.

2 - Seattle already renovated their arena 14 years ago which cost millions of dollars, yet heres Stern wanted them to build a NEW one.

3 - Seattle is an old franchise, taking them away from Seattle is a very bad thing especially with Kevin Durant potentially growing into a perennial all star.

4 - Stern and the owner of the Sonics are apparently good friends and he was helping him move the team to Oklahoma City.

5 - Stern obviously is involved in a lot of "shady" business in the NBA. I wouldn't doubt that one day we see that he's fixed games, drafts, player trades etc.

6 - Seattle is a great city, I'd love to visit there. Now they are left with the Seahawks and the Mariners. Both franchise aren't looking so hot right now. Fans had a big thing to look forward to in regards to the development of Kevin Durant and Co.

In all honesty this is terrible. So what, we are now going to see in 5-10 years a new Sonics franchise come out? Who the heck is going to want to play there? Not many people like going to a new franchise because they are more than likely going to be god awful for the first 2-5 years before they can really make a splash in the NBA. And the 2-5 years I mentioned relies on a great front office, drafts and fan support. Not every franchise has a Portland type front office.

Personally they should have been able to keep their team, just would have had pressure put on them to build a new arena within 2 years and Stern should have had a vote to give OKC a new franchise. Its obvious that OKC really liked it when the Hornets were there and the franchise embraced the fans and the town. Taking away the Sonics was taking away a big part of Basketball history.

I just don't know how I'm going to feel about this down the road.

Congrats to OKC and sorry to Seattle fans, I hope everything works out and we see a new Sonics arena and team within the near future, we'll miss ya!
